The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for customer service through various duties, including but not limited to: entering and maintaining sales orders, purchasing, quotation, over the counter sales, and supporting the outside sales staff.
Responsible for answering telephone calls from outside customers and assisting them in their needs, such as identifying and interchanging product.
Expected to enter and maintain all sales orders, including releasing orders on credit hold, and expediting previous orders.
Also expected to accurately quote product to the customer.
Expect to capture over-the-counter sales with walk-in customers.
Occasionally will purchase product directly from the manufacturer.
May perform occasional duties in the warehouse, such as shipping and receiving.
Assists and supports the outside sales staff, including performing "cold" calls.
Responsible for other duties as they are assigned.
Education & Experience:
H.S. Diploma or GED required. 1-2 years in a customer service or sales environment preferred. Good product knowledge of bearings and power transmission and industrial supplies, with emphasis placed on mechanical aptitude.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
