Process Engineer REPORTING TO:
The Process Engineer reports administratively to the Site Engineering & Reliability Manager in Conyers, GA and receives functional consultation from the Regional Process Technology Lead within Bostik NA.
JOB DIMENSIONS:
oServes as the gatekeeper/owner/subject matter expert of site manufacturing process technology & associated competencies (including process safety information packages).
oLeads improvement projects & initiatives for (re-)establishing manufacturing process max.
demonstrated capabilities or new entitlements through enhancements in facilities/equipment, processes, and/or people.
oGoverns manufacturing process technology that produces quality products with high confidence according to customer service level expectations.
oEmploys inherently safe manufacturing designs in process technology using Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEPs) and/or other standards (regulatory, industry, corporate, etc.
) for safe, compliant manufacturing operations.
oProvides day-to-day process engineering technical support & consultation for all site-related manufacturing processes.
oMentors/Coaches, and provides process engineering technical guidance to all site resources.
ACTIVITIES:
oPractices Safe work habits in accordance with OSHA, EPA guidelines, and Arkema-specific EHS expectations.
oMonitors/Validates/Optimizes/Debottlenecks all aspects of site's manufacturing processes.
oLeads trouble-shooting, root-cause analysis (RCA)/problem solving for manufacturing process issues and implements corrective/preventative action planning.
oDevelops/Executes design of experiments (DOEs) for manufacturing trial plans.
oProject-manages site projects and initiatives (both cost & capital).
oProvides process engineering gate-keeping/liaising and/or functional lead for business-led projects and initiatives.
oServes as Management of Change element lead for site.
oCreates, and/or provides 'Consult' in, Quality Standard Procedure and Work Instruction development, as necessary.
oLeads, and/or provides 'Consult' in, RCA and responses to Non-Conforming Material Requests and Customer Quality complaints.
oAssists in maintaining current plant P&ID's.
oLeads Waste and Energy reduction initiatives throughout plant.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT:

oHeavy use of computer software, both PC based and enterprise system, combined with frequent interpersonal communication.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
oB.
S.
in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred, with chemical industry experience, advanced degree a plus.
o3 years, minimum, experience in a manufacturing process environment.
oDemonstrated proficiency working in a Process Safety Management (PSM) manufacturing environment preferred.
oDemonstrated experience with a highly developed Environmental, Health and Safety Program.
oProven analytical/problem-solving skills based on data.
oWorking knowledge in Design of Experiments and Statistical Process Control.
oSix Sigma Green Belt certification ideal.
oUnderstands concepts involving 5S, Visual Performance Management, and Leader Standard Work.
oMust demonstrate sound judgment, be well organized, take initiative, and be flexible to facilitate resolution of complex issues.
oMust demonstrate effective verbal and written communication.
oDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities is required.
oMust be able to drive results and work effectively with teams.
oAbility to travel approximately 10% of the time.
