3 4 hours ago Full Job Description The Georgia Department of Driver Services is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Assistant II in the Information Technology Division.
The Administrative Assistant III reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and performs the office support, clerical, and technical functions necessary to maintain smooth office operations.
This position requires strong organizational skills, time management skills, and effective communication skills both written and verbal.
The position also requires proficiency with the use of computers, peripherals, and with Microsoft Office products.
The position is part of a highly diverse and fast-paced division which requires effective management of multiple tasks simultaneously.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Serves as an expert resource in assigned areas.
Provides administrative and/or technical assistance, analyzes problems, questions, and issues, to develop recommendations for resolution.
Provides support for Win 10 computers, troubleshoots printer issues and provides support for Microsoft O365 Suite.
Conducts extensive research to compile information needed to generate and publish various reports, complete projects, and accurately respond to questions and concerns.
Documents (e.
g.
logs, posts, records, etc.
) data/information.
Performs purchasing activities for the division to include but not limited to office supplies, IT equipment, software licensing etc.
Must be able to obtain State Purchasing Card.

Qualifications:
Completion of an Associate's degree from any accredited college AND two (2) years of related experience in IT or business OR Four (4) years of related experience in Information Technology and/or Department of Driver Services AND Must be able to obtain State Purchasing Card.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to those applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications also possess two of the following:
Experience in Drivers Service Administration.
Knowledge of DDS systems (DRIVES, GETS, Finance, KRONOS) and processes.
Knowledge of State of Georgia purchasing processes, guidelines, and policies.
Working knowledge of computer hardware and mobile devices setup and support.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving computer, printer, and audio-visual equipment issues.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving Microsoft O365 Suite end-user issues.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
